Summer and the sunshine have been appearing in Glasgow recently and I couldn't be happier.
When it is warm one of my favourite things to have for breakfast or with something is a fresh smoothie, I think I had one of these most mornings last Summer. They are full of goodness and a help with a great start to the day.
So let's start with what you will need:
blender
travel cup
Any berries or fruit of your choice! I'll be using raspberries and strawberries
Mango
Coconut oil
fruit juice or water
2 ice cubes
Grab your blender, throw in your berries, roughly a handful each but add as much if you want. I usually use about half a mango, sliced. Then dribble some yoghurt in, fill with either water or fruit juice. Add your ice cubes and a good spoonful of coconut oil and blend.
It really is simple and you can add as little or as much of the fruits and berries as you want in order to adjust the taste. It can be made completely to your liking! Smooties are also a great way to get in coconut oil, as they don't affect the taste at all but you will get all the goodness coconut oil has to offer!
This usually takes about 15mins all together, but prep as much as you can the night before if you are rushed in the mornings. A fruity smoothie always tastes even better when the sun is shining.
