It was my Birthday!! I love my birthday and it is one of my favourite days of the year, everyone always feels good on their birthday. To celebrate turning the ripe old age of 26 I went for brunch with my mum and sister to Tribeca. Oh the pancakes. They were delicious but definitely defeated me. Out of 3 (massive pancakes) I managed 1 and half. Next time, i'll be more prepared!
Then I spent the afternoon with my Gran and could not get over how amazing the tulips in her front garden looked. My grandpa brought half a dozen bulbs back from Holland about 30 years ago and every year they multiply and bloom just at big and colourful as the year before. I may need to steal a few of these when I move out...sorry gran!
this picture hasn't even been filtered!
Then it was out for dinner with the family to an Italian near where I live called Volare. Where I learned that no matter if you turn 9 or 26 you will have the restaurant sing happy birthday and need to blow out a candle. I secretly loved it.
The weather has been amazing in Glasgow this weekend, and I have been trying to take full advantage! BBQ's, braids, beer gardens and plenty of lounging about outside. So much so, that my sister and I decided to hit some hill sprints on Saturday Morning and that quickly turned into a mini bootcamp session in her back garden. Good weather just makes everything to much more
bearable...even burpees!
The Sun has been shinning all of Easter Sunday and what better way to enjoy copious amounts of chocolate than outside, lying in the sun! To get even more in the Easter spirit I decided to make some mini carrot cakes from a recipe my gran gave me, they were delicious and I don't want to think of how many were eaten.
That was quite a few snaps this weekend, but it was a busy one! Hope you all have a lovely weekend
xx
